[Winpcap-users] WinPcap mailing lists shutting down

The WinPcap project has been inactive for quite some time and I think it's disingenuous to keep the WinPcap email lists up and running when the project has no maintainers or other means of support. With that in mind I plan on shutting down the winpcap-announce, winpcap-users, and winpcap-bugs mailing lists on November 30. After the shutdown, any email to each list will receive an automatic reply pointing the sender to the Npcap and libpcap projects. I need to review the list server (Mailman) documentation, but quiescing each list might require unsubscribing all of its members as well.

Note that the shutdown only applies to sending and receiving mail. It will not affect the archives for each list.

I’ve been a long time winpcap user and I’ve been on these lists for years. It’s sad to see these lists shutting down and great that npcap has picked things up. Thank you to everyone who has developed and supported winpcap over the years!
